Next Time You go to Gamestop (AKA, evil plan of the day)
Follow these simple steps next time you go to Gamestop. You may [reality check: will] lose money at the end of the day, but the laughs are worth it. This will be based off of Metal Gear Solid 4
Preparation: Accumulate a large sum of money in quarters amounting to exactly $100. Get a $20 bill
1) Be first in line at a popular Gamestop store to get the hottest new game on the market [Metal Gear Solid 4].
2) Tell everybody that you are so excited about getting the game before everybody else. Make them very hype about getting the game.
3) Get your copy of the game [Metal Gear Solid 4].
4) Give the man at Gamestop the $100 in quarters. He will groan, everybody will groan, and they will be pissed at you.
THE FUN DOESN'T END THERE
5) Finally, after he counts the quarters [400 in this case, yes MGS4 is that fucking expensive], the clerk will realize you haven't covered the tax. When you acknowledge his problem, give him the 20. Not a broken 20, just a 20 dollar bill. Ensue more groans, possible cursing, and overall hatred from everybody in the store.
WAIT I'M NOT DONE YET
6) Wait for the clerk to give you the change from the 20. As soon as he is done counting, but before you receive the money, tell the clerk he can keep the change.
CHOTTO MATTE
7) Open the game and look through the manual, look at the Blu Ray's.
8) Get back on line. When you get up to the clerk (same gamestop), tell him that you want to sell your game.
There. you've become the biggest asshole within the vicinity of a good 8 miles. Have your laugh now, because there are probably people waiting outside to kick your ass.

Long Time No See
For however long I have stayed away from Xanga, almost the exact opposite amount of events of my life have happened. It's sick really, CCNY, though it is getting more interesting, and it is pushing me, hasn't had any memorable moments. Sure some events took place between the posts, but honestly, I only need my two hands to count them.
Street Fighter: After getting my laptop fixed, I spent a lot of time playing Street Fighter on my laptop over the internet. I thought that, despite the lag, I would get better at the game and I could win the most recent local tournament at PAS SpringFest (Polytechnic), but of course I got ousted right quick in the 1st round. Of course I can blame a lot of things, honestly, it was because the lag made my muscle memory change. I couldn't time anything right and everything just went wrong. The game no longer felt correct in my hands.
So now that I achieved this grand failure, I decided to take a break from fighting games in general to focus on other things. So far, other things range from reading newspapers to playing Tetris.
Speaking of other ventures, I spent a lot of time in the last two months playing the three Metal Gear Solid Games. While I'm no expert on how to beat the games, or on how to beat people the "special" way, I've got to say, the three games' quality are very much beyond my expectations. Though I had been spoiled about the game many many times, and though I knew a lot of what would happen, the games were still superb. I like Snake Eater the most though, if only because it didn't try to make your brain explode ever. The story to it was straightforward, yet well worth it, especially after playing the first two. Though it was a prequel, it didn't really clarify anything about the other games at all. I don't mind though, the experience was worth it. the Camouflage gimmick, the new CQC system, and the new camera system made the game so much better than the first two game play wise, and the story of how Big Boss came to be helped out in this regard. The best part is, my sister watched the game as I played it all the way through, so she is as mind blown from MGS2 as I am. Of course she's in love with Snake's (both of them -_-;;) character and she keeps making me play the damn games =D. What's great is that she helped me out a lot in MGS3 by pointing things out that I didn't see. Honestly though, I hate Hideo Kojima for making me want to buy a PS3. Bastard.
Regardless, I've only been playing those two series, so maybe playing Okami will put my mind back in its place (because I don't like thinking only outside the box for too long, it gets annoying).
Anything non game related? I have a girlfriend, we're going out, end of story. Aside from what I've mentioned above nothing has happened. Not even a callous from playing Third Strike or Guilty Gear for too long =/.
Now, on to my newspaper...

New Entry to Come
Short(?) but sweet entry to come soon. I have a tournament (finally) at the end of the week and other stuff to worry about in between. I still need to take a look at how my skills have progressed (difficult because recording video in kaillera is difficult) but I think I've gotten better.
Maybe I'll go to Otakon too and partake in the 3s tourney there as well =D
btw i got my laptop fixed =D=D=D=D=D=D=D=D roms ftw... now if i could only remember games that ARENT just fighting games -_-;;

i want to update.. i really do (two announcements that you've probably heard already heard =/)
I do want to update my xanga, but nothing's happened that's such a big deal anyway =/
the most important aspect of this year was probably my diving into the world of emulation, online play, and the announcement of street fighter IV.
I mean seriously, I got so bored in college that i wanted to get street fighter III on an emulator. It's done. i have 2 roms for the game now, and one lets me play online. online playability means that neither josh nor i will ever EVER do our schoolwork ever again.
I didn't actually lose money, but i feel like i lost $10 to felix. first came the whole "sonic in brawl" idea. to my defense i had wanted it too, but i gave up around july since solid snake had been announced for the longest and NO mention of sonic was made whatsoever. then there's the whole "STREET FIGHTER IV ANNOUNCED" thing. again in my defense, i didn't thing he'd go two for two, and the specifics of it were that the announcement would be for Lost Planet 2 (the planet in the back), Megaman in Brawl (accounting for the whole "megaton" announcement), and IF it was a street fighter announcement, it would be something about the movie (coming out next year), or a game that would coincide with the movie (specifically the movie, and not street fighter IV [street fighter the movie the game 2?])
so now feel like i lost all rights to talk back to people for being such a phailure.
tournament in one week!! GET HYPED!!
