Ok... starting bit by bit
Tuesday, September 18, 2007
I've wanted to write for a long time, but for some reason... I don't know, I haven't really gotten around to it. But here goes... it's a long post, maybe.
well, after prom, well, we just hung out. Frankl kept being a bitch, we were teaching in japanese for the after-AP activity, mr fox's class got old real quick with the internet thing (though it was an experience) and ms ritchie's class was hard work with 5 or 6 labs due and Aaron not helping out for any of them. It was basically graduation and then last day, and then summer. Over the course of that time however, I was robbed, and basically my game boy color and my flash drive were stolen, among other things though. Those two were the most important things that got stolen though.
The day after graduation was our last day with Josh and his brother Johanes (i have a feeling i spelled that wrong big time). We went and ate at Dallas BBQ, and then we went to toys r us to go hang out and stuff. Unfortunately (this is kinda my fault) a lot of people ended up coming, despite josh's wishes to keep his last gathering small. I'm touched though that he considered me good enough of a friend to include me in that small circle. Soon after we got into toys r us a blackout happened in the bronx, and I kinda made tinna, John Hodrick, and Johnny go back to the bronx a bit early. by the time we got back the power came back on. Even if the blackout was serious and lasted a while, I'd still feel bad for making us leave like that.

Today: Street Fighter, Street Fighter, even more Street Fighter, a shitload of Pocket Monsters, and Xbox Live
That's probably the best way to talk about what I did over the summer. web2zone had another Slammin Saturday Night event, so of course I had to go. Nick didn't come this time (driving classes since RIT is carajo land to him) but John and Cole did. Reggie came too (he was type early too o_O). Casuals were fun. I played the black guy in the dress (Gay mike apparently) who I saw the first time I went to web2zone (this was my third time) and I beat him. Nick says bullshit, but I beat him. I also had a few games winstreak going but it was only casuals. Therapist came in with his usual manner and beat me. I swear if it wasn't for the fact that my character wasn't as good as him, I'd beat him. I don't know if he's inexperienced against my character, but it seems to me that he always has a lot of trouble against my character (Remy).

Then comes the actual tournament. I once again got really lucky in the brackets. My first match was a by since there weren't enough people to sign up a perfect bracket. Next match, my opponent forfeited on me, and I didn't even know. The tournament went by two rounds, and i didn't even realize it, so after an hour or two of not playing, I ask and I find out the lovely information mentioned above. True to tournament style though, by the third round the competition gets tough. I got ousted to losers bracket by a Urien (AGAIN with the stupid urien beating me, COLE YOU'RE NOT HELPING). After that though, despite the fact the tournament was in the third round, my opponents were pushovers. Actually pushovers wouldn't even start describing it. I basically handed my next two opponents asses over to them in quick victory. Hell I felt like choosing their own characters and showing them how they're supposed to be played. After that though, I was up against frantastic. He used Yun and the matches we had were close. I lost though, but I went up in the ranks pretty fast. I got about 11th place the way I figure. Me and John left after that, but I had a match with KO Fiend. he handed my ass to me as a super pro guy would. Jon and I left for home after that and I watched Naruto. BELIEVE IT. There's another Slammin' Saturday Night coming up at the end of October, I hope I can improve/practice some before I go. I've defintely in skill, but I don't know how I'll do until the day comes. I'm supposed to record the event, so maybe I'll get vids up soon.
I got a DS right when summer started, and of course I got Pokemon. It's been great and it's also been crazy. For weeks on end I didn't even play Third Strike as much. Beating the actual game was hard this time around, and after that I had to make a new party out of Pokemon I thought were good and also fit my style. By style I mean general look. I realized that 1: most of the pokemon I picked were dark in color, and 2: four of the pokemon I picked were already on a team of one of the members of the Elite 4 in Generation II, the GSC era. I've battled a few people online, and my win record isn't impressive, but I've had fun, and I do better in double battles than single battles.
Ever since around the middle of the school year I started to play Smash more than I did until then after 9th grade. I kinda got sick of using Fox, especially since I basically fight mid range. It was interesting though. Actually another reason I dropped Fox was because Nick used him, so I want to diversify the playing field. Then there's the fact that Fox is top tier. I actually started picking up Link, and I must say that even though the character sucks (jeez, me with low tier and Nick with high tier, I never wouldn't have seen that coming -_-;;) it's an interesting experience, and I greatly anticipate how Smash Bros Brawl will turn out. BTW.... WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH POKEMON TRAINER RED AS ONE OF THE CHARACTERS?!?!!? THIS HAD BETTER BE GOOD
Aside from everytime there was a gathering at Johnny's house, we played Xbox 360 a lot. I mean it's a great system and you can't go wrong with it. I adore the Xbox Live Arcade games. They are cheap, but the fun totally outstrips the cheapness. We also played Halo 2 a bit, and that was cool, and funny (I probably have a story but I can't find it in my head). Basically we tried to hang out as much as possible until everybody moved out to RIT (UPenn in Jon's case) and we didn't really do it as much as we should have due to scheduling problems (and my schooling, more on that later) but we made the most out of when we did hang out.
I recently bought Guilty Gear XX Accent Core. I haven't even started playing it much but it looks SOOO NICCEEE on the digital TV. I mean it's sooo much eye candy that I just looked at the attract mode for a few minutes just to take in the niceness!! When I went to the Gamestop to buy it and it was packed!! Everybody was there either preordering Halo 3 or buying the new Naruto game. I go up to the counter and just go "Guilty Gear" and everybody's like, "damn this guy's hardcore..." OK maybe that was an exaggeration, and ok maybe I'm paraphrasing the exaggeration, but w/e. I got the last copy, so that's probably just karma giving me good luck since it took too long to get ZOE2 (goddamnn that game, and goddamn Felix for getting it on a whim in a store).
Aside from that, the main way I passed time in the summer was at the pool, a park somewhere in a barbeque, and here at my laptop watching cool shit like Hajime no Ippo, Smallville, or any other random thing I could find on TV-Links. It's such an awesome site. Oh yeah I forgot. I saw a good portion of Dragon Ball Z in spanish. There, I did it. Now the world asplode. BTW here's my laptop now after the little accident I had. I'm not going to go into what happened, but just now that only a piece of the screen works.
Education; there's nothing to it but to do it. This summer I took a summer "college prep" course called CCAPP (City College Academy for yadda yadda yadda). It was ok, though it didn't help prepare for college at all. Every Monday was lecture, we sat through it, and then we did workshop where we went over problems of what was taught. Tuesday we worked on a powerpoint presentation to present to the class on wednesday. thursday we took a test on the subject matter from monday. Four straight weeks of this. The best part is that we were divided up into four groups; out of intuition i knew my group ended up being the laziest one. Of course there were people who wanted to work, but once they found out their teammate was from Bronx Science, I guess they just decided to stop working, or the people in my group just decided to not do the work since there weren't any credits involved. I got perfect scores on every test and I'm basically the only person who decided to put effor into anything, so in the end they gave me a flash drive for being the "best team player." Gee, I never thought I'd see the day I'd be called a team player.
Then College started. Oh My God.
This shit is completely different from High School!! I mean seriously!! I'm not even up to the workload yet. The vibe is different, since there's no set schedule everything feels 10X lazier, or in my case, it's 10X harder for me to buckle down and get work done. What's even worse is that my schedule is all over the place, and there are a lot of gaps in it so it's hard to get down to get things done

Room 4115Yes you read that correctly, I have every Tuesday and Thursday off. And yes you also read that correctly, I get a 3 hour break every Monday and Wednesday, and a 2 hour break every Monday, but I can't go home -_-;; It's cool when I have stuff to do on those days, but besides that none of my friends have the same free time that I do, so I spend my days playing Pokemon. Yes Pokemon. If at any time in the short run I get a new laptop, then I'm putting in a Dreamcast Emulator in there and I'll abuse that shit in school. For those who don't get the picture, it'll be Third Strike on the go. No my mind isn't on anything else -_-;;
Anyway, City College sucks ASS. I'm bored out of my mind, and my Chemistry Class puts me to sleep every time. The administration is retarded; You see all the free time I have, and they apparently couldn't fit a class in!! All my classes are too easy to even joke about, and the only class that has challenged me so far is the class that has nothing to do with my major!! Yes English is the only thing I look forward to when I wake up. I'm definitely going to consider transfering to another school, or at least applying to Cuny Honors, because if I'm going to get a crappy education, I might as well get a free crappy education.Everybody is having so much fun/is getting what they are paying for where they are, I feel like I made a huge mistake going to CCNY, WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?!?!
My post today ends here. I probably won't update for a while once again, and it seems to me that xanga is dead, and everybody who has one is on facebook or too busy with college.
background change, Yun is too much of a pansy, I'd smack him if he was real

Some ppl at my club at school play it but they're nothing really. when you get better at it, call me up and we can play some matches. I really want a rematch w/you in 3s, I really underestimated you last time (result = buttobasareta...is that even a word? lol)
Your schedule sucks, are these classes really that easy?
So you're learning chemistry and stuff, is that like school chemistry? or harder?
Aww, poor Carlos playing pokemon to pass the time..
